Thank you so much for your invaluable support for Asian Heritage Month. We really appreciate it. However, given the growing concerns around COVID-19, we’ve made the difficult decision to postpone Asian Heritage Month Festival 2020 until further notice.

Celebrating Asian Heritage Month is something we were very much looking forward to, but your safety and well-being is our top priority.

We look forward to seeing you when the events are rescheduled. We will let you know the new dates when they are available. In the meantime, please stay connected with us via , and have a look at our Virtual Museum of Asian Canadian Cultural Heritage on this website.

But we have something exciting for you here and now!

Award-Winning Asian Canadian Composer and Artist Alice Ho and the artists are generously sharing the world premiere of the new work Witch on Thin Ice.

Here is Alice’s Message to you:
“In this time of uncertainty caused by Coronavirus Pandemic, I hope this video of the world premiere performance of "Witch On Thin Ice" (a percussion theatre work inspired by life and works of Yoko Ono commissioned by Beverley Johnston through the Canada Council for the Arts) will be a nice distraction to us all! We all need a bit of "Yoko Ono" to cast off anxiety and build hope, the world must come together!”

Please enjoy the amazing performance by clicking here.

We are honoured to feature a poetry reading by award-winning Chinese Canadian Poet, Dr. Lien Chao. Please click here.

Here is Lien's Message to you:

"This is a poem in the theme of rebirth: the long painful creative process that an artist goes through each time to create a piece of new work, also delivers her/his own rebirth."

Sincere thanks to Dr. Chao for the beautiful poetry reading.
